We were mid-pandemic, the end of year was approaching, and Amazon Web Services wanted to create a celebration for 4,000 of their Australian and New Zealand employees.

A creative solution was called for, and we landed on a virtual, customisable experience that allowed the AWS team to choose their own adventure.

With an in-person celebration off the table, we designed the event around three live streaming channels. Employees could choose to view music sets from Australia’s favourite covers band Furnace and the Fundamentals, marvellous magic from Adam Mazda, or comedy from the highly-rated Sam McCool.

We maximised employee engagement through live reactions, live chat and polling housed on a tailored platform. Luxury hampers were delivered to employees’ homes, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options, to enhance the virtual experience.
