Slack came to us to help them generate customer engagement across their Theatre Sessions and product demonstrations at Salesforce World Tour Sydney. You could say our solution was worth a thousand Slack emojis!

Delivery

We created a large suspended installation made up of 100’s of Slack emojis. The emojis were arranged in vertical sequences. Each sequence was identified by a letter. During the Slack sessions throughout the day, coordinates were offered to the session attendees.

The coordinates given references a particular emoji within the installation. At the end of the session attendees were invited to explore the emoji installation with the aim to correctly identifying and naming the Slack emoji associated with their coordinated. After identifying their Slack emoji, attendees visited the Slack huddle bar along with their answer. If they answered correctly, the received a prize.

Creative/sensory lens: We wanted to create a fun engagement that fully immersed attendees. By having the Slack emoji installation suspended above attendees, we eliminated any competing visual noise and completely captured their attention. The emojis not only aligned directly with the Slack brand but gave attendees the need to explore the Slack platform to discover the correct names of the Slack Emojis. The installation was also designed to be impactable from a distance to attract attendees to the stand.
