AWS APJ Leadership Forum
Events
August 2024
The AWS APJ Leadership Forum is a three-day experience for 1,000 AWS leaders, focused on Amazon culture, leadership, well-being, and resilience. Although AWS has held region-specific leadership forums in the past, this was the first time in 5 years that leaders from all regions across APJ were brought together in one space. Our job was to make this long-awaited event as engaging, impactful, and innovative as possible.
Delivery
With 1000 AWS leaders from 11 countries brought together for a 3-day immersive cultural experience, we had our work cut out! We kept attendees busy with 27 sessions, 2 networking dinners, and 12 break-time engagement activities. The entire experience was held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with sessions strategically hosted across the Plenary Hall (1000 pax) and 2 breakout rooms (350 pax each).
We also transformed the large Atrium into an expo floor to encourage active networking and increase attendee engagement throughout the 3-day experience. Popular favourites included our ‘Crack the Code’ gamification activation, Lego mosaic artwork, a LinkedIn headshot station, blender bikes, Lego VR, and a book donation station.
Achievements
We successfully designed and executed a spectacular large-scale Opening Ceremony with CWK-produced video animation, traditional and modern dancers, interactive set elements, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics.
The Night 1 team dinner was a huge hit, featuring a classic gaming room, karaoke, a 360-degree photo booth, and food stations representing all 11 regions.
We surpassed client expectations and received high praise from the VP of AWS APJ, who gave each person in The CWK a personal shout-out in his closing address.
“Seeing everyone’s hard work, passion, and dedication come to life at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center was nothing short of amazing. A special thank you to the exceptional team at The Company We Keep, your partnership was instrumental in making this event a success.” Stephen Delfino, Field Enablement Program Lead, APJ Field Enablement, AWS.
